I got off at my stop, with a promise to catch up with Kyer on the way to the Rec Room at eight, when rec time started. As I walked from the platform to my house, I couldn’t get the woman from the train off my mind. If I had encountered her the day before, I wouldn’t have believed anyone could go a whole week without the pills, but I hadn’t taken the blue one last night, and look at me. Still alive, as she said.
