CHAPTER 6: POLLY,MOLLY AND CHARLES

I looked at my mom's picture with teary eyes,we all thought she died from the accident,we never knew Mrs Donald planned it, because dad was always getting under her skin by saving the boys anytime she planned to kill them,tears dropped uncontrollably from my eyes,I remembered the first time I met her
I was just a little girl,I lost my dad then and few months later some men took my mom I had to run for my life, dad's car hit me while running and he took me to the hospital,he asked about my family and I said I had none"poor thing,they died?" Mom asked,she was so sweet,her voice so calm,she was beautiful
I nodded crying,she hugged me tightly"it's fine can I be your mom?"she asked
I nodded
"Don't worry we'll protect you okay?"dad asked and they both hugged me,they took me home and introduced me to Zoey as her elder sister,they told no one that I was adopted,they treated Zoey and I equally,I felt loved,I found a home" I promise she'll pay for it,you'll get justice" I said
"You're such a cry baby" dad said,I looked up and was surprised to see him standing by the door,I cleaned my face and said"you you're eaves dropping on me"I said,he laughed" I was thinking one of these days we should go visit her,what do you think?"
"Sure"I nodded,we visited her once every month but it was understandably If dad wanted to see her again,we just found out about her murderer
"Today?" He asked
I nodded" I'll just text Nicholas " I said and texted him,he replied that he would follow us,we waited for him,he came with Ethan and we all went to see her
I dropped my flower l,we all did,we were quiet for a while until dad cleared his throat"we miss you dear" he said
"Mom the pains just feel like you left yesterday,I don't think I'll ever forgive Mrs Donald,I pray she experiences the worst things on life" Zoey said crying" you did nothing wrong to her,you barely even knew her yet.... I hate here" Zoey yelled crying,she knelt on the floor still crying,I walked to her and squatted beside her and began to console her
"Mom will get justice pretty soon sis" I said,after some time Nicholas dropped them at home and we went to work, Molly was there already waiting,she rushed at Nicholas immediately she saw it"you jerk you left me last night " she said angrily
Nicholas turned back and looked back at her"last night? Left you?"
" Yes you asked me to meet up you even proposed"
Nicholas cut in laughing really hard"me? Propose to you?"
"You did Nicholas"
" Well if I can remember very well I was hanging out with my lady last night,right Paula?"
I smiled"yes Nichos,Molly are you sure you were not dreaming? And where's the ring" I asked
" I lost it,maybe someone's stole it caus eits really expensive and You stay away I'm not talking to you " she said pointing at me,she turned back to Nicholas"I.."
"Listen woman,if you don't have any reasonable thing to say leave and yes I don't appreciate you coming around here, you won't like your next visit here trust me"
"And you think she loves you?" She chuckled"she will leave you I swear it Nicholas"
"Out before I call security " he warned
Molly felt really angry and embarrassed,she walked away, Nicholas and I kept laughing
I went back to my office and got a text from Mrs Donald to meet her,I told Nicholas and went to her office,Molly was there
"Paula it's almost time" she said,I nodded
"My family and I have packed up,I told them I saved enough for us to go to another city" I lied,comfortably,I had been lying to her for months
"Good one Paula,I'm so happy I chose you for this job"she said"when do you plan on going?"
"I heard he has plans of proposing so immediately after the proposal "
"Perfect,he would be sooo broken"
"I suggest you warm her to shut her mouth ma,she told Nicholas that I was going to leave him today and you know how smart your son is,hope he won't find out the plan "
Mrs Donald turned angrily to Molly" do you want to ruin the plan? Why can't you just play along without acting childish and stupid?".
"I'm sorry,I was just carried away by my emotions "
"Excuse me" I said and walked out,I went to Nicholas'office and he hugged me"you know you're such a good liar Paula" he said
I frowned " is that supposed to be a compliment?" I asked
"The lie you gave mom was so perfect,she fell for it,and proposal? How did you come up with that?"
" Well let's just say I wanted to remind Molly of her delusion" I said and we both laughed
"You're not a good person Paula" he said still laughing

I needed to use the rest room,I walked into the ladies and I saw a locket on the floor,I became still,I vent down and picked it up,my heart was beating,it was it.
Tears fell from my eyes,it was the same locket,someone took it from me forcefully"give me that,you want to steal it like you stole Nicholas?" She asked
"Is that yours?" I asked
"Nahh it's yours"
"My Molly?" I called,tears dropping from my eyes
"I'm not yours "
"That's mine,how did you get it?"
"You're such a liar,you lying to Nicholas that you love him and you want to lie to me? With my locket?"
"Please tell me how you got it,I'm leaving Nicholas soon you'll have him all to yourself anyways"
"And why are you so interested?"
" Please"
She breath out" well a childhood friend Polly gifted it happy now?" She asked and left,she...I was surprised

I went through my things and took the same locket Molly had,tears dropped from my eyes,I was Polly,I gave that to her..I had two friends growing up,Matilda and Charles,we nick named ourselves Polly,Molly and Charly,we were best of friends,I gifted them that locket,I used my savings to buy them for us,we got separated because I had to run
It was a normal Sunday evening few months after my dad died,mom kept us locked in always, talking about a danger, someone wanting to kill us,I was hungry and Mon went out to get me food,she took really long,I was worried and scared,I heard some noises,I ran outside through the back door,I heard a man saying "get the child" I ran away,I was going to hide somewhere and come back to see my friends but I got hit by a car, dad's car, when I recovered and got discharged,I asked them to take me there but there was an explosion and everybody moved,some died,I feared that none of them died,I lost all hope of reaching them, seeing that locket with Molly made me happy,she was a different person totally but she was still my Molly,I never suspected because her real name was Matilda,we never told anyone about our nick names,I felt happy she used the name I gave to her,she loved me so much and I loved her too

It was the next morning,I knew that Molly would visit Mrs Donald,I wanted to talk to her badly,to ask her about Charley,to tell her that I was Polly,her best friend,I walked around until I saw her"hi Molly" I said with a smile
"What do you want"
"Can we talk?"
"No" she replied rudely,I smiled,I expected it
"Molly please..." I tried to speak but she slapped me "stay the hell away from me"she said and walked away
"Paula are you alright?"Jasmine asked from a distance,she saw what happened I nodded with a smile and walked away,back to my office
"Molly slapped you"Nicholas said,he was already boiling
"I'm fine" I said
" Why didn't you retaliate Paula?" He asked feeling irritated
"I'm sorry,do you have an idea about where she grew up?" I asked
"I don't want to talk about her, and please never ask anything about her in the future,it annoys me"he said and walked away

One month later.......
I did not get the chance to talk to Molly,every time I tried talking to her she either hit me or walk out, everyone was pissed about my forgiving attitude towards her because she bullied me a lot,I missed work for over a week,I was sick,I was dressed up and Nicholas took me to the hospital,we ran a test and I knew I was dead,Mrs Donald warned me "I'm so happy for us"Nicholas said happily
"Please don't let your mom find out" I asked
"Sure,so do you think it's a girl or a boy?" He asked,he was obviously so excited
"A girl,that looks like you" I said
He blushed"okay" he nodded "you're so obsessed with my face,you want to see more of me" he said,I laughed
"Nichos you're just so funny"I said, we told my family,Ethan and Jasmine and they were all happy,we did a little celebration,I felt really special
"So sis you're going to make me an aunt" Zoey said rubbing my hair" mom would be laughing at you right now,her lazy daughter will soon be a mom"she said and we both laughed
"Mom Al got frustrated with me and always say 'how do you plan on running a home if you're so lazy Paula? Get up and assist with something ' and I'll cry accusing her of hating me and stand up to assist " I said,Zoey and I laughed really hard
"Do you remember when she threatened to sell you off?" Zoey asked,that was a very funny experience
"Yeahhh I cried all night,she said she was going to sell me off in the zoo so that I would live with animals and I'll turn to one " I said,we had a lot of funny childhood memories,it was fun recalling them,mom was a mini clown,she was the best.
