Chapter 30: The JournalistI read the title of Zac’s newest article in the Templeton Caller: The Fallacy—A Bathhouse in Templeton? I scanned the piece. Words and phrases popped out at me: inappropriate activities, Sontimore Way, illegal misdoings, immoral, naked yoga, hustling, young men, seedy activities, propaganda, prostitution, older men, drugs, AIDS, homosexuality, 1986, violence, Ronald Regan, trash, possible murder, and disgust in our neighborhood. Zac slanted the article such that it painted an ugly picture of history from the 1980s repeating itself: unsafe s*x that could mix with violence, and an illegal business in the heart of our small community—if The Fallacy, in actuality, existed—that could stain Templeton’s lakeside tranquility.
