[William’s POV]
For the rest of the day, Desmond and Abbie are all I can think about. What were they doing together? Why did she look so happy? And why was Desmond actually smiling when he was pretty f*****g known for his stoic expression?
It was driving me crazy, and despite seeing Abbie around campus, I couldn’t even f*****g go up to her and ask her what all of that was because of that ridiculous agreement we made.
That was why, by the time the school day ended, I made a beeline for where Abbie was staying. Once she arrived home, she was going to tell me everything and eliminate these maddening thoughts and emotions.
However, when the door opens and I’m ready to attack, Austin is the one to appear, and as his gaze comes to rest on me, I can immediately see amusement.
