[Rachel’s POV] After returning home that evening, I didn’t sleep. Instead, I keep replaying that scene in the hallway and remembering the dark aura I felt radiating from Abbie. Although I know that it shouldn’t be bothering me since it saved me from my mate, I just can’t stop wondering if what that woman said was actually true. That’s why by the time the sun comes up, I’m getting up, showering, and changing, then hopping into my car and beelining for Blue Ridge. When I arrive, the grounds are still empty aside from a few warriors who are preparing for their day.
