Rex's POV
It's been months since Rebecca and Lazlo were attached and killed. There haven't been any other attacks since, which I find very odd. The killers seemed bound and determined to get to Zadie, but nothing. We've had security amped up since the first threat. Maybe it scared them off? Maybe they realized they'd never get to her and gave up? It's a nice thought, but it just doesn't seem likely.
In my mind, I'm still on high alert, but in reality, we've been pulling back little by little on the amount of patrols we have out at any given time and letting more and more people go to town, in groups of course, but still. We're trying to get back to normal around here as much as possible while still keeping an eye out for whoever it was that killed three of our pack members.
