Zadie's POV
Rex was here, and he was ready to attack. I somehow need to get some of these people to safety. Rex and his warriors will do their best not to harm anyone not fighting. I know that, but that doesn't matter to Alpha Alden or his men. If someone is in their way, they won't hesitate to kill them.
After my walk around the pack with Alden was thankfully interrupted, I headed back to my room with my ladies' maids. I guess this was my opportunity to ask them their story. If they didn't want to be here as much as the others I have talked to, maybe they could help get people to a safe space before the fighting starts. I should have done this sooner, but I had no idea things were as bad as they really are.
