4 - What is Vampire?

"The feeling I get after taking a bath and washing away all the dirt from my body is incredible." the princess flopped herself upon the bed to relax.

"Would you like to have something to eat before going to bed?" Lily was the one who inquired.

"Rosie, what should I have for dinner?" Princess Sabrina grumbled to her as she rolled around on the bed, enjoying herself.

"Fruits can be consumed depending on the time now. At this late hour, there is no need for a large meal." Rosie gave her opinion as she was well aware of the food habits of the princess.

"All right, so bring me some fresh fruits and a glass of milk," Princess Sabrina pushed herself to get up in her bed.

"Sure, I will get them over here right away." Lily proceeded to fetch the fruits that the princess had requested.

"Rosie, would you be able to braid my hair? And Jasmine and Mary, you can both retire to your own beds at this point." The princess flashed a grin as she nodded.

"Of course, princess." It was a unanimous response from the three of them. While the other two maids were exiting the princess's room, Rosie stepped over and walked behind the princess and started braiding her hair.

"I'm coming princess, take a look at these fresh fruits and milk." Lily walked into the room carrying a tray.

"Thank you very much for your hard work, Lily. You are now free to retire to your bed."

"Thank you very much, my lady." Lily walked out of the room after turning around.

"I am done braiding your hair, my lady, may I too be allowed to retire to my bed?" Rosie inquired.

"Yes, Rosie, that's correct you can go now. Good night." The princess kissed her on the cheek and waved goodbye.

In one swift motion, Rosie walked across the room, blew out all of the candles saving the ones that were close to the bed, and handed the book to the princess.

"Oh, Rosie, I do not know what I would have done if you had not been there by my side to support me." The princess made a sweet statement.

Before she left the room, Rosie chuckled and said, "Good night, princess." with a smile.

Princess leaned against the cushioned bed headboard, holding the book in her hands. She turned the pages until she came to the first chapter, which was titled 'What is a vampire?'

'Vampires are immortal blood-sucking demons. Well, not demons but they are actually just like us. They are humans too. They are also sentient beings.'

'Only their fangs distinguish them from humans; they can fly; they feed on blood and more specifically, they require fresh human blood to survive, which is referred to as bloodlust; and a positive point is they never die; they are extremely faster than humans; they can see even in complete darkness; after all they are a creature of the night.'

'Their disadvantages and weaknesses include being exposed to direct sunshine or daylight, they literally get hurt if they get contact with sunlight. Being unable to withstand hunger, and requiring blood at all times.'

'Vampires are real, they exist in every city and every state, on the continents too.'

'There are some rumours about Vampires too. Like people say they have the power and ability to manipulate your mind, even seduce your spirit, adapt to sunlight, and render themselves invisible. A cross helps to make them stay away because vampires are afraid of gods. Even a vampire can't enter a church, it is not true indeed. These all are just rumours which aren't true.'

'You must know that sunlight can injure them and so will a stake to the heart but they can't be killed.'

'Many people say vampires are deadly, they must be destroyed and killed. But I have experienced that Vampires are more good than humans. Most Vampires are gentle, loyal and handsome. Only a few vampires are aggressive, unfaithful and brutal.'

'Good things about Vampires are; their saliva heals injuries. When they suck blood to feed themselves, they use only their fangs, however, when they try to actually bite someone to turn them into a vampire as well, they use both fangs and their front teeth.'

'Not all vampires look alike, they just have the same skin complexion as their body has high melanin. They never get tanned since they don't go out in sunlight.'

'They usually have a pointed face with slightly pointed ears and are not pointed like Elves!'

'They have shallow cheeks, single chin and rare vampires have dimples and are beardless. Most vampires only have four teeth - two upper curved fangs and two lower smaller, their eyes are more demonic to look at but their eyes are indeed beautiful. They look like a simple human in their true form not nothing like a monstrous demon.'

'It is said that Vampires would often choose to hide their appearance using spells of glamour which would make them all different to look at with the exceptions being pale skin, eye colour and beardless appearance as well as attractiveness. Remember these are just false talks spread by people.'

'Another rumour says that as vampires lose all natural fluids, with the exception of blood, vampires are infertile. Let me tell you, it is not true!'

'Vampires have blood, but they can't drink their own blood. They have hormones, they have everything humans have.'

'The only difference in reproduction they have is female vampires have periods once a year and reach their puberty at the age of 40. While the male vampires produce sperm at the rate of a male human and reach their puberty at the age of 50. They can have s*x with both vampires and humans.'

'However a female vampire getting pregnant with a male vampire is much more appreciated than a female human getting pregnant with a male vampire.'

'An interesting fact about vampires is, they do not age. Their features are refined and perfected (including their voices), rendering them supernaturally beautiful to lure in prey.'
