Martina's POV
I was heavily pregnant with our second baby. I couldn't see my toes and my back was absolutely killing me. I wanted my son to be out of me soon but I had to endure a week more.
Theo went to pick up Emma from school, as I always remembered a time when he forgot her. But I knew he had learned his lesson. My little girl was just eight years old and she was so protective over her brother.
Theo quit with the mafia and I was so happy that our family was going to have a normal life without fearing that some enemies might ruin us.
But I said it too soon.
The door opened and Theo entered our home with a panicked look. Something inside my chest squeezed and I could feel physical pain from it.
