The next morning, Eunji woke to the sight of her shattered apartment. The events of the previous night felt like a bad dream, but the broken glass and overturned furniture were stark reminders of the nightmare that had invaded her home. She found Jihoon sitting on the couch, staring out the window with a haunted expression. “Jihoon,” she called softly, her voice still shaky. He turned to her, his eyes filled with remorse. “Eunji, I’m sorry. I never wanted this to happen.” Eunji approached him, her heart aching at the pain in his eyes. “I believe you, Jihoon. But I need to understand what’s happening. Who was that man? Why did he come after us?” Jihoon sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Seojun is an old enemy. We have a complicated history. He wants to hurt me, and now he’s targeting you to get to me.” Eunji sat beside him, her mind spinning with questions. “What does he want?” Jihoon looked at her, his expression serious. “Power. Revenge. Seojun thrives on chaos and destruction. He won’t stop until he gets what he wants.” Eunji’s fear gave way to determination. “Then we have to stop him. Together.” Jihoon’s eyes widened in surprise. “Eunji, this isn’t your fight. It’s too dangerous.”
