episode 9

Jihoon’s eyes widened in surprise. “Eunji, this isn’t your fight. It’s too dangerous.” Eunji shook her head. “It became my fight the moment he threatened me. I won’t let him win. But I need to know everything, Jihoon. No more secrets.” Jihoon hesitated, but he knew she was right. If they were to stand a chance against Seojun, Eunji needed to understand the truth. “Alright. I’ll tell you everything.” They spent the morning cleaning up the apartment, working together in a silent, unspoken agreement to face whatever came next. Once the place was somewhat restored, Jihoon began to tell his story. “I was born over four centuries ago,” he began, his voice low. “In a time when Korea was very different. I was turned into a vampire by a witch who cursed me. She wanted revenge on my family for a wrong done to her.” Eunji listened, her eyes wide with fascination and horror. “A witch? Is she still alive?” Jihoon shook his head. “No. She died long ago. But her curse lives on. I’ve spent centuries trying to find a way to break it, but I’ve never succeeded.” Eunji reached out, taking his hand. “We’llbreak it together,” she said, her voice filled with determination. Jihoon looked at her, his heart swelling with an emotion he hadn't felt in centuries. He squeezed her hand gently, grateful for her strength and resolve. “Thank you, Eunji.” As the day turned to evening, they decided it was too dangerous for Eunji to stay alone. Jihoon insisted on staying with her, keeping a vigilant watch through the night. Eunji felt a mix of emotions, but she was comforted by his presence. They set up a makeshift bed on the couch for Jihoon, though neither of them expected to get much sleep.
