“Legends speak of those who seek it. Few return. But there is a guide, a guardian of the mountains. Find him, and he will lead you.”
“Where can we find him?” Eunji asked, her heart pounding.
The woman pointed to a path leading into the dense forest. “Follow the path. He will find you.”
With a sense of purpose, Jihoon and Eunji set off into the forest. The air grew cooler, the trees towering above them like ancient sentinels. They walked for hours, the path winding through dense undergrowth and rocky terrain.
As night fell, they set up camp, their small fire providing warmth and light. Jihoon watched Eunji as she sat by the fire, her face illuminated by the flickering flames. He couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude for her presence in his life.
“Are you okay?” he asked softly, sitting beside her.
Eunji nodded, leaning against him. “I am. As long as we’re together, I feel safe.”
Jihoon wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close. “We’ll find the artifact, Eunji. We’ll break the curse.”
Eunji looked up at him, her eyes filled with trust and love. “I believe you, Jihoon. We’ll do it together.”
