Melbourne Experience Part 2

~After 30 minutes~

"Babe, wake up. Let's eat." Xyrille

I slowly opened my eyes, didn't even realize I have fallen asleep. I jumped out of the sofa and walked to the dining area. Dinner's all ready.

"Sorry I only intended to rest my eyes," I said. "Na, it's ok, you seem tired. You've been working 16 consecutive days. I don't even know how you do that?" Jin 

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," I answered with a chuckle. Xy and Jin both said "Amen," and chuckled.

We ate our dinner. After some time.

"I'll wash up," Jin volunteered. "I'll dry then." Xy. "Ok, then I'll wipe the tables LOL. Jane, you can go clean up first while Jin's washing up." I proposed.

"Oh, yea, smart. Won't be long" Xy said. Then she walked towards the bathroom. I grabbed the wiping clothe and disinfectant spray from under the sink. And start wiping the tables.

Jin started washing up. I started mixing our drinks when I finished my duty. Then put it in the fridge.

Jin quickly went to the bathroom as soon as Xy walked out. I walked to my bedroom and prepared my Korean skincare routine. Jin taught me and Xy how to do it. What we do daily and weekly.

I can actually say it works. My face is kind of better than before. I had a lot of marks on my face but now almost all clear.

I opened my laptop and face timed mum while waiting for Jin to finish.

"Hello? Como Estas Mija?" Mum

"I'm ok mum, How are you?" Me

"I'm great too, te extrańo Mija. When are you coming home? We're thinking to visit." Mum

"2 months to go I believe? You should, tho you guys been here many times." Me

"No me importa, we just miss you so much." Mum

"Aww, You're gonna make me cry, It won't be long, I'll come home soon." Me

"Hola!!" It's Jeanne and Avery, my 2 sisters. "Hey you guys, how are you?" Me

I walked to the bathroom carrying my phone. I talked to them while doing my nightly routine.

"I've got a new job by the way. It's in JD, I get 40% off shoes dude" Jeanne. I put my phone on one of the stands there away from the sink of course. I took off just my top and tied my hair up.

"That's great. You can buy me airforce, wow so generous my little sister." Me

"Can't, even if I want to, I can only get my size, I could give you a 20% discount, friends and family." Jeanne. I started wiping my face with cleansing wipes.

"Oh right, we're not the same size. And Only 20? Hmm, not nice." Me

"So how are you there? Got a boyfriend now?" Avery cut in our convo. I chuckled as I rinsed my face with warm water.

"LOL, I wish I had the time. Been working 16 days straight, you think I have time for dating? But guess what, there's a Matthew Dwight who caught my attention earlier at work when I was writing the minutes at the meeting. He's one of the suits and ties men there. One of the managers I think. He's fine-looking." I said while putting a Korean cleansing soap on my face and then quickly rinsed it off.

"Oooh, maybe he's the one." Jeanne

"Don't think so, LOL I'm gonna leave Melbourne soon. Maybe it's not the time yet for me for all that." I answered as I dried my face off with a clean towel.

"You don't know that."Jeanne

"Whatever, I'm just not interested at the moment. Tho he did catch my attention. He's got that 'tall, olive-skin, hazelnut eyes, handsome face.....broad shoulder' you know that characteristic. He looks like a heart breaker too, you know trouble." I explained while putting my Korean toner on.

"Hey don't judge a book by its cover. He might be really nice." Avery

"Ok, I won't judge. Just saying, but anyway I doubt I'll see him again. He's in a different department and I was only covering someone's shift that day. I'm not in that department." Me. I waited 5 minutes to dry.

"We'll never know until it happens. Update us then." Avery. 

"Avery, stop pestering your sister about boys, she's busy with work." Mum finally cut in our conversation. I chuckled. I grabbed my toothbrush and put on toothpaste.

"She can date while working." Avery

"Anyhow, have you eaten dinner Mija?" Mum

"Yes, mum we just ate. Just cleaning up now. How about you guys? How's dad? Keep talking, I'll just brush my teeth." I said then quickly brushed my teeth.

"We just ate as well. We had steak for dinner, dad cooked it on the barbecue. He's alright, he's building a farm in the backyard LOL, we've so many vegetables there now." Mum. I put my thumbs up as I continue brushing my teeth.

"What about you guys what did you have for dinner? Have you eaten well?" Mum asked. I quickly rinsed my mouth and then put on the Korean moisturizer.

"Yea, we had take-out from the restaurant downstairs. Some burger, salads, steak and mash potato as well." I said while walking out the bathroom to the living room where I saw Jin and Xy already chilling out the lounge with the drinks I made. 

"We're all here, by the way, we all have a rest day tomorrow so, movie night." I continued facing my phone towards them.

"Hola tiá Raine, Avery, and Jeanne!" Jin and Xy greeted in unison. I sat next to them. They paused the TV and talked to my mum. I poured myself a drink and squint my eyes in distaste because I recently brushed my teeth so the combination of toothpaste and alcohol is not a very good idea.

"Hey guys how are youse?" Mum

"We're fine tiá, Xy just got home from work as well a couple of hours ago." Jin

"That's good you girls take care alright?" Mum. I heard someone called out to her, I'm assuming it's dad." Alright Mija, I have to go. Always take care, never forget to pray ok? Te veré pronto. Adiós." Mum continued.

"Sure mum, I always do. Say hi to dad for me. I miss you more, I'll see you soon. té amo mum." I said with a flying kiss. 

Then the call ended. "So what you want to watch?" Xy asked.

"I don't mind anything," Jin said. "Same," Me

Xy just browses Netflix for a couple of minutes, until we all agreed to watch a chick flick movie 'View from the top' starring Gwynneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo.

"Hold on, should we make popcorn?" I asked. Tho we just ate but hey movie night, you gotta have popcorn while watching.

"Yea, there's that sweet and salty one." Xy 

I walked to the kitchen and put the popcorn in the microwave. Then went back to the lounge, finished up the drink I have in my glass and poured out the small amount from the jug. 

"I'm gonna make another one," I said. "Make it stronger babe LOL." Xy. I chuckled.

I walked to the kitchen and made another drink. 4 shots of Grand Marnier, 5 shots of Rum, a lot of ice and fill it up with lemonade, and a pineapple juice. I cut some fruit up; pineapple, oranges, strawberries, lot of limes and lemon.

It was almost overflowing when I finished. Jin came up to grab the popcorn and we both walk back to the lounge. Xy played the movie.

We just watched and drink until the movie ended. And then we talked for a while. This is what we usually do in our free nights together. We try to do this every now and then but it's kind of hard as we all have different schedules.

Xyrille and I work 2 jobs, most of the time we help at the restaurant at night. So we rarely have this time together. So when we do we kind of take advantage of it. Eat, drink, binge watch. Sometimes when we have the same day off we go out like the beach, or to the mall but not as much because we choose to stay in and chill.

We talked about a lot of things, mostly family and work. And the church, then sometimes the conversation will shift to boys, love lives and whatnot. It's pretty funny. But we all have a good time when we get together.

We finished up the jug and we all felt hot and sleepy. We all helped each other packed the things away and then went separately to our bedrooms. 

My eyes felt so heavy. I grabbed my bible from the bedside table and forced myself to read at least 3-4 chapters in the book of Acts. Then I tucked myself in my bed. Closed my eyes and pray. 

As soon as I said 'Amen' I drifted to sleep.
