MICAH'S POV:
I know Malena likes this town and feels some kind of connection, but I don't. I feel that we are being watched. I'm not sure if this feeling I'm having is right, but I do know that I have a bad feeling about being here. I'm not going to tell Malena, I'm going to keep it to myself until I find out what this feeling is. This bartender keeps staring at us. I don't want him to know I sense this from him, so I keep talking to Malena.
I look to Malena and say,
“Don't make it obvious, but I do see what you meant about this bartender. He keeps staring at us!"
