Leaving

Once we finish eating, I go back to my room to finish putting my things in my suitcases.

"Liam!" I shout to get his attention.

"You shouted me?" He asked as he comes into my room.

"Yeah, are you done packing your stuff?" I reply.

"Nearly, just a few things left. Why?" He answers me.

"Because I'm done, and want to leave as soon as possible, so, I'll come to help you finish packing," I tell him.

"Yeah sure, let's go."

With that, I zip all my suitcases up and stand them near my door, and head to my brother's room to help him.

"Alright, where do you need me?" I ask him as I walk in.

"There's still some clothes in my closet, will you finish packing them, so I can do my important stuff?"

"Yeah of course," I tell him and walk into his closet.

I look at what's left to pack and split it into four (4) sections, t-shirts, trousers, hats, and others. Using my most efficient method, I begin packing the t-shirts first. It takes me five (5) minutes, and again, using my most efficient method, I begin packing the trousers. I repeat the process until all the categories have been packed. This takes me twenty (20) minutes to do in total.

"I'm done, Liam," I call out and start walking back to his room.

"Oh, good, cause same." He chuckles.

Alright then. Let's put our stuff in our cars, then?"

"Yeah, let's do it!"

I go to my room and start taking bags and putting them into my Jeep. It takes me an hour and a half to put them all in.

When I check the time, I see that it's lunchtime, so I make a quick sandwich for myself, and two more for Liam and Uncle Mike.

"We're leaving now Uncle Mike."

"Well okay. Stay safe, and if you get tired them pull over at the nearest hotel so you can get some sleep."

"We will Unc," Liam replies.

"Let's go then, Broski," I say and giggle happily. "I can't wait to meet Cameron."

"I can't wait to meet Miranda either." He replies with a huge grin.

We grab our keys and walk out of the door with Uncle Mike following behind us to say a proper goodbye.

When we get to the garage, I turn around and give Uncle Mike a huge hug and kiss his cheek.

"Stay safe okay, kid?" He tells me.

"I will, I'll have my mate to protect me, remember?"

"Yeah, I know, but I'll still worry about you."

"Stop being silly. You know that I'm gonna call you at least once a day."

"Yeah, I know. So go off and have one of those epic loves that consume you that you always talk about."

I laugh and say: "I will don't you worry,"

I kiss his cheek one more time and let go to go get in my Jeep.

I see Liam walk over to Uncle Mike and they give each other a bro hug, so I let them have their moment whilst I prepare music and make sure I have at least two (2) l****s of water in the car with me.

After I finish preparing, I roll my window down and say: "I'm leaving now, I have the location put into my SatNav. I made sure I have enough water too. I love you both."

"I love you, too." They say at the same time.

With that, I turn the engine on and drive away.

( Time skip three (3) hours.)

I've been on the road for a while now and I have five (5) hours left to drive.

I get a call from Liam coming through my Bluetooth, so I answer it.

"Joey's sperm bank, you jack it we pack it. How can I help you today?" I answer with a s**t-eating grin on my face.

There's a thirty (30) second pause before I get an answer.

"Eww, Mia what the fvck was that for?"

"I just felt like messing with you. Why'd you call me?"

"I just wanted to know where you are."

"I'm about to pull over at a petrol station to refill my tank and get a snack at junction 13."

"Alright, I'm about five (5) minutes away from there, wait for me."

"Okay, stalker. See ya soon."

"If I were stalking you, you wouldn't know it."

"Sure, buddy," I laugh and hang upon him.

I pull into the petrol station and open the tank so that I can fill it up, as I'm doing so, I get a call from an unknown number.

So I answer it and say: "Alright, I hid the body what do I have to do next? I just want to see my dog alive again..."

"Umm, excuse me?" I heard a deep male voice say. "I thought this was Mia O'Connell's phone number."

I frown because this stranger knows my name.

"May I ask what this is regarding? And who this is?"

As I finish what I was saying, Liam pulls up beside me.

"Hey, will you finish filling up my car whilst I take this phone call, please?" I greet him.

"Hey. Yeah sure, how much are you putting in?"

"About £60." I turn my attention back to my phone and say: "Sorry about that, I just needed to get my brother to fill my tank up whilst I talk with you."
