Cameron laughs in shock when he sees what I get from my car.
"What?" I ask him. "It makes me feel like I have all my body parts," I say innocently.
"Nothing babygirl, I just didn't expect you to have that." He replies.
"I guess them dudes didn't tell you our occupations, I'll tell you later, let's go."
"Alright, princess."
We walk into the house and are immediately ambushed by his mother.
"I can't believe you're finally here!" She said. "Cameron hasn't stopped talking about you since the men you work with told him who you are."
"Really?" I ask her, but I'm looking up at Cameron.
Cameron blushes and looks away. "No." He says.
I giggle at his obvious lie. "Sure, Camy." I smile.
"Camy?" His mother asks.
"Yeah," Cameron says. "She came up with it while we were on the phone."
"It's cute." She says. "Now let me properly introduce myself, I'm Michelle Lynch, Cameron's mother, and acting as Luna of the pack until you take the position." She introduces.
"It's nice to meet you, Mrs Lynch," I reply.
"Oh please hun, call me Michelle or mum if you'd like."
"I think I will stick with Michelle for now," I tell her. "I feel like I would be betraying my own mother if I started calling you 'mum'. My parents' deaths are still really sore to me." I explain so that I don't hurt her feelings.
"Oh sweetie, I don't mind at all, you didn't need to explain, but if you don't mind me asking, what happened with your parents."
"I don't mind," I tell her before I start telling her what happened, I snuggle further into Cameron to feel more comfort from my mate. "Liam and I were about six (6) or seven (7) when someone broke into our family home with the intention to k!ll us all. Our parents knew this was going to happen so they had Liam and I hide in one of the cupboards. Being older by a few minutes, I made Liam get in the cupboard first so that I could protect him. There was a gap in the cupboard and I was using it to make sure that Liam and I weren't seen, but it, unfortunately, gave me a straight line of sight to my parents' murdérs. I was forced to watch my parents get their heads chopped off and it ruined me, I didn't talk for three (3) years and I've been in therapy since."
Liam walks into the room before I get a chance to reply.
"Hi, I'm so sorry to interrupt, but Mia, it's a code blue."
Liam and I came up with a list of codes when we were younger and add to it once a month. Code blue is one we came up with when we first started working at the agency, and it means that someone from the agency is going to attack us and we have 10 minutes to prepare.
"Alright, Cameron, we need to bring all my bags in quickly, I promise that I will explain everything to you later, but for now we need to get a few of my bags then I need you to go wait in your room until I come back," I tell Cameron. "I see the doubt in your eyes but please trust me."
"Alright." Cameron says, "Let's do it."
"Okay, let's go."
I grab his hand and my car keys and take him to my car. I open the boot of the car (the trunk of the car for those who don't know) and grab a few bags to pass to Cameron for him to take. He takes them and waits for me to grab a few more before he shows me the way to our room.
I follow him up to his room, then when we get in there, I look around and admire his decor. It is gorgeous and suits what he told me while we were on the phone.
Cameron puts my bags in a corner of the room and then motions for me to do the same, so I do. I then look over the bags to find the most important one, I find it and pick it up. I take the bag into the bathroom I see, as the door is open, I close the door behind me.
"What are you doing?" Cameron asks me through the door.
"I'm changing into clothes that are better suited for the situation I'm going into," I reply.
I then finish changing into my outfit. it was black leggings and a black long-sleeved turtle neck.
After that, I walk out of the room and go to another bag that contains my weapons and my hooded cloak which I use to cover my body and face. I unzip the bag, Cameron's eyes widen at how many weapons are in there. I unzip the other side and take out my favourite katana, I then get my cloak out and put it on.
"I'll see you soon, Camy, please stay here until I come back," I tell him.
"Alright, fine, I'll stay here, but only because you asked me so nicely."
"Thank you, Camy."
I then lean up and kiss him on the cheek. I let my lips linger for a second, then walk out, I walk down the stairs and outside where Liam is waiting.
"Hey," I say as I approach him.
He looks back and nods at me in acknowledgement. "You ready for this?" He asks me.
"Always. You?"
"Same."
"How are things going with your mate?"
"Good, we've spent the time since we arrived together and getting to know each other. You and your mate?" He replies.
"Really well." I smile.
As I finish my sentence, Bryan Miller, the enemy, shows up.
"Well, well, well. Look who it is. Mia and Liam O'Connell." He says to announce his arrival.
"Hm, yeah," I say shortly, not in the mood for his antics.
"Hey, sis, you wanna know what it's a great day for?" Liam smirks, meaning he has a plan.
"Yeah, sure bro, what is it a great day for?" I ask, playing along with his plan, even though I don't know it yet.
"Bryan's funeral." Liam deadpans, obviously trying to intimidate Bryan. "Don't ya think?" He smirks again.
"Yeah, I totally see it," I reply, also smirking now.
Liam then starts analysing Bryan to see how he wants to play this.
Just before Liam finishes his analysis, Bryan starts to run towards him with a kn!fe in his hand, ready to viciously attack him.
