Betrayal

*Zay* Taking a step out onto the dew-kissed grass, I curiously ponder the outfit choices of the others. We have agreed to turn Nick’s birthday into a sort of real fancy party, with a dress code of dresses for the girls and no sweats, tanks, or crocs for us guys. In my olive green pants and short-sleeved black button-down shirt, I'm embracing the casual yet rule-abiding look. "Hi... Oh, don't you look stunning," I greet Nick and Nina, who have just emerged from her tent. Nina, in a flowing white dress, that wonderfully contrasts with her dark features. Meanwhile, Nick, in jeans and a fitted off-white long-sleeved tee, looks stylish but relaxed. "Not you, Nick... your beautiful girlfriend." "I knew that," Nick retorts, rolling his eyes before softly calling for his new puppy, Bailey.
