Danika's eyes fluttered open, and she gazed weakly at the figure beside her bed. She struggled to focus, her mind foggy and her vision blurry. But as her eyes adjusted, she saw Caleb's peaceful face, his eyes closed in slumber.
A faint smile crept onto her lips as she realized he had been staying by her side. She tried to speak, but her voice was barely a whisper. "Caleb..."
