14 Sebastian The knock on my door had me jumping up and rushing to answer it. I was hoping it was Zoey. She hadn’t been down to see me in almost a week, and I missed her. I didn’t want to, but I did. I’d been lying on the couch and didn’t think twice about answering the door without a shirt on. Zoey would have taken it off soon enough anyway, so there was no need for the pretense. Except it wasn’t Zoey at my door. “Why aren’t you wearing a shirt?” Sofia asked when I opened the door. “I was just watching TV.” “You watch TV shirtless?” I shrugged. “You don’t?” She laughed and shook her head. “Um, no. Can I come in?” I hesitated just long enough that she picked up on it. “s**t, you’re not alone, are you?” I snorted. “Of course I’m alone. I’m always alone. Who else would be here?”
