Screw this. I wasn't running from these corrupted puppets.
I gathered my power as fast as I could, pulled everything I had to the surface. Every bit of strength, every ounce of ability. If the Whisperer wanted a fight with the last Kaelix, I'd give it one it wouldn't forget.

Then I released everything at once. Tried to unbind every single corrupted mind in the room simultaneously, break the Whisperer's hold on all thirty people in one massive wave of power.
The energy exploded outward from me like a bomb going off. I felt it crash into their minds hard, felt it start to tear through the corruption that had been planted there.
For just a second I thought it might actually work. Thought I'd pull it off.
