Ford comes round and opens the car door. I feel a shiver go down my spine and goosebumps come to the fore of my arms. It’s a much cooler evening than I thought it would be. Now that we are getting into the Fall season the nights and the mornings are fresher. I love this time of year, however, when all the trees become magnificent showcasing their russet, red and amber leaves. Pumpkins, Halloween, there is always so much to look forward to in fall.
“Are you cold?” he asks with concern in his voice.
“No, just excited. Lilly is going crazy,” I tell him as he takes my hand and presses the key fob with his free hand to lock the car.
“Come then, we will walk deeper into the woods then we can finally shift. Good job you wore boots.”
