“Ivy!” I yell for my Beta.
“Yes sir.” She answers, while walking into my room.
“Is everything ready? I want us to be able to move in a week.” I ask.
“Yes sir, all is ready. But there’s a problem.” She says. I can sense she’s uncomfortable.
“What?” I growl out.
“Some of the rogues deflected. They said this isn’t their fight, that they don’t want to die.”
“Ahhh!” I throw a table across the room. “f*****g cowards. How many are gone?”
“About a dozen.”
“We can do this without a dozen.”
“Don’t you think we should get more wolves to help us. We may not be strong enough to take Merrick and his supporters down.”
“We ARE strong enough, I AM strong enough.”
“Of course you are, I didn’t mean that. I just meant that these… recruits aren’t the best.”
“They’re just ponds anyway.
