RILEY:
I hear a knock on the door and it has me standing up from my bed.
"Who is it?" I ask after waiting for a few seconds. I could notice already that the person wasn't ready to open the door just yet.
"It's Damien," comes the response. "Can I come in?"
"I thought you're the Alpha. Should you be taking any permission from me before coming in?" I ask in return to his request to enter. And instantly, the door is pushed open.
Seeing Damien for the first time since that embarrassing incident yesterday made my heart rush. I still haven't gotten how flushed I was. I won't be surprised if I'm not able to comport myself during his brief stay here — hopefully.
