Monday I worked until eight. Not because the work required it. Because when I was working I was not thinking about something else, and there was something else I had been successfully not thinking about for three days. Tuesday I reorganised the filing system on the Henderson account. Two hours. The filing system had been fine. Wednesday I stayed at my desk through lunch, made myself read things, answered messages before they required answering. Kept the surface of the day occupied so nothing underneath it had room to surface.
