“Did you want to watch the movie now?” he said.
“Sure!” Danielle replied, tossing aside her towel.
Mike made himself comfortable on the couch while she turned off the music. Placing the movie in the player, Danielle grabbed the remote and sat beside him. Eyes on the screen, they watched the opening credits roll by in silence. Concerned, she was about to ask if something was wrong when Mike stirred. Danielle felt him reach for her hand, and he smiled as his fingers entwined with hers. They shifted positions and exchanged hands several times during the course of the movie, but Mike never relinquished his hold, which pleased Danielle.
