From the very beginning Nia was obstructed and trained at every step to be a " Good Girl " ... not just from the aspects of respecting everyone but from the way she would be judged in a higly opinionated society..... She was twelve when she was taught " Good Girls never argue " " Good Girls are supposed to always listen and follow the instructions of the Male in the family " " Even when you're grown up .... behave " like a girl " " " Men respect Girls wearing traditionals and eve-tease the ones wearing jeans and shorts " " Men are superior and should be esteemed even if they're bad to you " "Men are stronger and are supposed to do heavy jobs .... those jobs are not meant for you ... leave them for The Man to do it " " You're a Girl .... don't be loud " "You're a Girl ... have some shame ! " She never accepted any of the beliefs her parents had .... and this was the first hammer hit that caused the crack in the wall of relationship.... She wanted to prove everyone wrong .... Since her birth she was made to wear clothes that would cover her complete body " Afterall she's a girl .... shouldn't she cover her everytime she steps out " - they said . All the girly things were avoided ... hairs cut small ... clothes worn were plain and covering .... and the attempts were made to make her look tomboyish .... So while growing up she saw and learned and eventually turned into a tomboy ... the manner of walking and the clothing sense ... everything .... She was in love with herself ... for the behaviour and everything she chose for herself ... this is the phase where she was a " Proud tomboyish Girl " ... When she realised she is expected to behave as a typical " Girl " she was expected to behave shy .... to talk soft... to sit properly and to say " yes " everytime someone tried to pull something off her hands or the overrated opinions ... " Good Girls never say no " She was expected to stay smart but at the same time wasn't allowed to step out of the house alone , she was expected to make a lot of friends but wasn't allowed to make male friends or the people who also stayed forever as home as she was expected ... she was in a situation where it seemed , she had the chains tied to her foot loose ... which she could just jump out but what was not visible was her foot that was nailed to the ground ... preventing her from escaping out of the chains
