Chapter 3: Walkout

ATHENA'S POV
After a wait of more than 20 minutes, the first lecturer appeared.
"Hello, Class!" As she approached the front of her desk, she greeted us. The whiteboard is on her back.
"Today, we will not have a lesson. After I introduce myself, you will each introduce yourself one by one." She continued.
After she finished speaking, she began writing on the whiteboard. I read what was on the board when she finished writing.
It's her name. The subject she is supposed to teach us is below it.
"I am Clarisse Manuel, and I'll be your Biology teacher." She gave us a polite introduction. She has a youthful appearance. I'm guessing she's around 25 years old based on her looks. She also has a good-looking figure. Her hair is adorable; it appears to be quite soft.
“Let’s start with you. Please give a brief description of yourself that is interesting for us to hear.” She said to the boy in the front row. The boy then stands up.
“Hi, everyone! I am Peter L. Santino and I enjoy playing instruments such as the piano and guitar.” he said then sat down.
It's Peter's seatmate's turn to introduce herself when someone appears at the door. It looks like the girl is late for our first day. She seemed to be running late huh.
"Good Morning, Miss! I apologize for the interruption and for being late." She apologized, looking nervous.
"Today is the first day of school. How come you're late?" Miss Clarisse questioned her.
She lowers her head as though embarrassed by what is going on.
She explained, "I struggled to find a ride to get here."
"Is that so? Prepare early next time so you won't be late for our next meeting. Understand?" She said to the girl. She's not just gorgeous, but she's also kind. With that, I like her even more. It seems that I will have a favorite lecturer for this school year.
“"Yes, Miss," the girl replied. "Thank you very much! I'm sorry once again." she added.
"Please come in. Find a vacant seat." Miss added to the conversation.
She merely looked around and nodded. She stop where I am. It is, after all, empty. Until she arrived, I didn't have a seatmate.
"Hello! Is this vacant? Is it okay if I take a seat here?" she remarked, pointing to the chair next to me.
"Sure! Feel free." I responded and smiled to her.
After that, she sat down. She talked to me after putting her bag on her back.
"May I ask what is going on?" she asked.
"Oh! Miss Clarisse would like us to introduce ourselves and give a brief description of ourselves. She stated, "There will be no lesson today." I responded.
"Thank you very much! My name is Megan, by the way." She thanked me and introduced herself. She also gave her hand to me for me to shake it, I think?
"No problem. I am Athena," I said, then took her hand in mine.
After that, we listened to the person introducing himself in front of the class.
It's the turn of one of the guys in the fourth row to introduce himself.
"I am Benjamin Romero. I am part of the school's basketball team. It's nice meeting you all." he said, then went back to his seat. He was followed by the other guy next to him. He's also the one in front together with Benjamin.
"Hey, guys! William Vasquez here. Like Benj, I am also part of the school's basketball team. We're best friends, including the handsome boy over there." He stated, then pointed at the guy with the heavy aura. He went back to his seat after.
The boy on their back earlier stands up and goes in front as it is his turn.
"I'm Markus Lopez." After that, he walks back to his seat.
That's it? I heard whispers coming from different rows. I can't hear what they’re whispering, though. Maybe they are also shocked because he just says his name and then sits down again. Our lecturer also looks taken aback. After a while, she spoke.
"That's it, Markus? You don't want to add some exciting info about yourself?" Miss asks nicely.
"Nothing is exciting in my life, Miss. That's all I could say," he responded.
"Oh, okay! I hope you're fine, Markus," she said, concerned.
"I'm not. Excuse me, Miss," he said as he grabbed his bag and walked out. All of us are shocked by what happened. We looked at the door where he exited.
Even Benjamin and William look like they don't have any idea what's going on with their friend.
I knew it! His aura feels heavy. His eyes seemed so sad when he looked at me earlier when he noticed that I was staring at him.
"What happened to him?" Megan asked.
"I don't have any idea, Megan. But, I am hope he will be fine." I replied. I don't know why I am concerned about him. There is part of me that wants to know why he acted that way.
"Okay, class. Let's go back to our introduction. Next please." and that's what happened. The introduction continues.
After the person in front, it is my turn. I'm honestly quite nervous for some reason.
Oh my God! It's my turn! I stood up as the person before me finished her introduction.
"Hello, Everyone! I am Athena Elise Carson. I am half American and half Filipino. We just moved in Wimborne three months ago. We are originally from Bardford. Nice meeting you all." I said, then went back to my seat.
"Hi! My name is Megan Morales. I am a scholar student. Good luck to all of us! I hope we all get along." Megan is the last student to introduce herself.
“I wish to remember you all before the school year ends. Class dismissed!” That's how Miss Clarisse ended our first meeting with her.
