Ruby
"Ruby, please! When you punished me, it was for attacking a human. BUT, Max wasn't a human! So, you wrongfully punished me. In front of the entire pack, may I add. Doesn't that make up for it?" My wolf calms down slightly, knowing that Xander has somewhat of a point. "Still, human or not, you wanted to murder MY mate." The rage beginning to build back up within me. The thought of anyone hurting Max has me on edge.
Before anyone says or does anything else, I smell that intoxicating scent of peppermint. Upon arrival, Max lets out a low growl at Xander and Gabby.
"Oh, please. We have seen Ruby named more than you have. Calm down, your highness." Damn, Gabby has some balls talking to a prince like that. She must feel really comfortable around him, which actually makes me relieved.
