I was going to wait until breakfast to introduce Ruby to my mother, but that's about to change. She's a strong Alpha with a pack who respects her, but I can see the weight on her shoulders lift when I tell her that we are together in this. I send a link out to my entire pack, letting them know that I want to speak with them in the conference hall immediately.
"Are you ready to meet your future pack, my queen?" Ruby cups my face gently. "You are the best thing to ever happen to me." A single tear scapes her eye and I wipe it away with my thumb before kissing her.
I give her a look and she nods her head after we pull away from the kiss.
