I let Tina wallow in pain for a few minutes before walking over and picking her up bridal style. She doesn't say a word as I strap her into the front seat of a car that Alpha Thomas is letting me use. If she wasn't pregnant, I would have made her shift and run with me to the Lost River Pack.

"I think I can handle talking to the Alpha on my own. Plus, I have Beta Derek there as backup." My wolf is silent for a moment before agreeing with me. I barely know the guy, but I feel like I can trust him. Especially if Gabby does.
