CHAPTER XX
Tobi's wheelchair rolled along on the interlocked ground, Efe's hands on the handle at the back. Cole was walking at his side, nearly skipping with excitement. They weren't going toward the car park where the LIPD squadron waited in or outside their cars, making last-minute preparations. Neither were they going to the gate. They were headed in the direction opposite the car park, to the place where their diesel generator pumped electricity through the entire building like the beating of a relentless heart.
“I can't believe we finally recieved the President's clearance to get Department Smallie on the road. I've been dreaming of this day since my first day at LIPD,” Cole said excitedly.
“Cole, stop behaving like a child, we're almost there already. Stop walking too fast,” Efe
