CHAPTER XVII The dusk had gathered completely. The students trudged through darkness, led on by the unmistakable sound of helicopter engines. The lights became visible farther on, and they followed them until they got to the platform where the helicopters perched like two huge black birds. Segun's hands instinctively went to his ears, as they always did. The others pulled their clothes tighter around them as the rotor blades blew them every which way.
