CHAPTER XIX Detective Tobi Akano drove into the premises of the LIPD. The gates were opened by Danladi, one of his junior detectives who was still fighting off sleep. The first rays of dawn hadn't even begun to appear. The gatehouse was empty; it was too early for the gatemen to resume. It was 3:46 a.m. when he left his house, and his children had been asleep then, but not his wife. His wife was his alarm clock. Much of the Lagos populace were still asleep.
