"He accepted." He smiles.
I almost had an attack for a second there. He is a bastard.
"Congratulations bro"
"Thanks man.... So what's up"
"Same." I say slouching back in my chair spreading my legs wide open. I'm so freaking tired and my body hurts.
"What's wrong? You look beat."
"Yeah, I got beaten"
"Uh?" He c***s an eyebrow
"I got beaten " I repeat.
"By who?"
"A girl." He chuckles.
"Your bed broke? Huh?"
"Nope, I got beaten with a belt., My own belt." I emphasize. He c***s both eyebrows this time
"What the f**k happened? How- "
"A girl I met at the bar."
He scoffs
"Are you being serious at all? What the f**k are you saying man are you okay?"
"I'm serious. She made me open the door and even made me drive her to work. Out in bracket work. She made me stop in front of a house and watch me drive off "
"Wow" he says tapping a finger on the table.
"Marry her"
"I would except that I do not know where she works or where she lives or even anything bout her "
"Tim will do that for you. Did you at least get her name?"
"Yeah"
"Besides I saw one petite lady around here she's so hot"
"Nah I'm not interested."
A brown haired waiter approach us, notepad in hand
"Good evening sires, what can I get for you"
Cody looks at me and shake his head. I smile
"Actually, can the black haired lady wearing a blue dress attend to us instead?"
"Okay"
She clocks her tongue, nod and walk off
"You just made that girl's day bad or worse." I say
"She'll get over it." He says waving his hand.
"Oh there she is". He sing song quietly. I just roll my eyes womanizer.
I don't look back. All I know is that Cody likes to f**k. He just does it with any girl he sees that catches his attention. The girl practically hop in front us. I look up at her and swallow hard. f**k, I'm choking on my spit
"Watcha need?"
She looks at me and break into a smile then a chuckle. She reaches across the table and slide Cody's water to me. I don't take it.
"How's your body? I hope you do not feel any pain. Or do you?"
"f**k" Cody mutter
"she's the one?". He whisper over to me.
"Yeah" I whisper back.
Cody chuckles, he does it again and again. I know what he's thinking that i***t.
"So! What can I get for you guys?"
"Anything, I trust you"
Cody says and I roll my snort
"Sure. Cade"
"Nothing"
"I'm not gonna poison it you know"
She says quickly, scoffing
"I need you"
Does that classify as a flirt? Is she flirting with me?
That's fine I need her too. Cody coughs.
"I hope you guys know I'm still here?"
"You're dirty. I like it"
I just shake my head. I wonder who she's really flirting with now.
"Don't keep the beautiful lady waiting Cade"
"Anything" I say
She goes off hoping. Okay that girl is childish
"I like her"
"Hmmm"
"So tell me how exactly it happened"
"You see. She fainted when we were talking at some bar a few days ago so I brought her home. Blah blah blah"
Cody nods, a familiar expression on his face.
"Gosh dude. I didn't do anything."
"Good, because I'm almost two seconds away from calling the popo. I'm listening "
"And then in the morning I thought she was seducing me when she started to undress me. Man I was ready for work and I was like okay I don't mind a quickie alright and before I knew it I was beltless and I got beaten. The end"
"Why?"
" Because I didn't want to open the door for her. You know how tight the security is "
"Yeah"
Anna out of nowhere put food on our table. Oh okay she did well on this one
"I deserve a huge tip on this one. Enjoy. s**t"
She mutter and then mumble something on her way out.
"Man" Cody call rubbing his palms together.
He always does that when he's excited especially when he sees girls or sometimes food. Anna appear out of nowhere with a bucket of red wine. Hey Jesus why is she being so nice

Cody slams a wad of cash on the able dabbing his mouth with a napkin. Gwash I haven't had a sumptuous meal like this in a long time unless I travel to visit my parents. I'm so full to the extent that I don't think I'll need to eat in the next three days or more
"Yeah baby" Cody groan .
"That was good. Man we should come here everyday instead of eating that crap you call food"
"Hey! My food is delicious" I toss a fry at him
"Keep deceiving yourself"
"Heyya" Anna waltz in like a disco dancer
"How'd you find my food?"
"Delicious. Muah muah" Cody comment
"Cade?" She bat her eyes all angel like
"Fine. It was delicious.... Fantastic"
"Okay. Here's your bill"
Cody hands her the cash. Lily takes it and count it, separating the excess it and try to drop it back on the table but Cody stop her.
"What are you trying to do?"
"I---"
"Take everything, the remaining is your tip"
Her eyes widen and she shake her head
"I can't take this I'm sorry. This is... too much"
"Okay"
"Thank you"
She picks up the plates while Cody folds the money and dump it in her apron pocket withiwi her knowing
"Are you closing anytime soon? " I ask
"Yea, I'm clocking out after now"
"I'll drive you home."
"And I'll have your number"
Anna smile and walk off
Soon she comes out of the restaurant shaking her head, her hands in her back pockets.
"Thanks anyway"
"It's fine. I'm a gentleman"
Cody says bringing his phone out of his jeans. Anna takes it, put her number in it and give it back.
I hate it when Cody gets all the girls when I'm there. I'm the handsome one here who doesn't know how to flirt. Cody, a perfectionist.
"I'll get going now. I've got work to do"
"Finally" I mutter
"Goodnight.... "
"Cody"
"Yea, goodnight" Anna smiles
"You too"
He hops into the car and drive off. No good night for me. Can't blame him all his senses evaporates when he sees a woman. Fake coughing, I rest against the car hood so she can finally notice and put all he attention on me
"Do you ----"
"Yea, sure"
Damnit she was waiting for me alright. We both get into the car at the same time. As I drive down the street I realize I should have opened the door for her. Geez I'm such an i***t.
This is why Cody always win the girls but I think she doesn't even seem to mind anyway cause she's just looking outside the window thinking. Perhaps the kind of i***t I am. f**k it I need to learn to be like Cody
"So where do you live?"
"Riverside"
"Where exactly?"
I ask but she doesn't answer.
"I'm not going to kidnap you, you know "
"You wish"
"Though day huh"
I ask nevertheless although I know she's had the most beautiful day ever. People like her derives joy from seeing other people in pain
