“What?!” I didn’t know when I screamed the word out.
Rory glared at me and I nodded covering my mouth with both of my hands. I shook my head, trying to swallow down the horror and wonder what is going to happen when Rhysand finds out. I’m already between a rock and a hard place right now.
When he finds out all the things I’m hiding, I don’t think I’ll get a second to even breathe in and out before he’ll snuff the life out of me.
“What are we going to do?” I asked, looking at her because I don’t know what to do from here on.
“I don’t know.” Rory sounded like she was going to burst into tears. And I realised I’m not helping right now. She came to me so I could comfort her and I’m just making things worse.
