LISA I pulled my hands from under Lucien’s, though I don’t think there is a way in this world that I would have done it that it would be fast enough. I’ll give Lucien a little more credit for not obviously panicking the way I did. Though, it is his bother and no matter how many times they argue, I know they will support each other. I’m the outsider who will be thrown to the side. And why am I just realising how guilty I and jus look by making that move? Because now Rhysand’s brows were quirked and he looked positively annoyed. “Leave us.” Was all he told his brother. Lucien gave me a look, a little sorptive node which made me inhale and exhale. Forcing much needed air into my lungs as Rhysand stalked towards me, looking every shade the predator that he was, while I remained the prey.
