"Leave mom alone" Pakir said looking at the male figure in front of her.
"Come here" her father said
"Lock yourself up in your room" Nadira instructed as Pakir ran out of the living room.
"Was I done talking to her?", Nadira bit her lip as Pratik pulled out his belt and flogged her, she winced in pain as she wondered how she did not see this in him before. Tears rolled down her face as Pratik stormed off, her phone rang as she cleared her throat and wiped her tears
"Hello"
"Inspector Sharma, it's the ACP can you come down to the station?"
"Is it urgent Sir?" she asked
"No, but it will do us good" he replied as she hung up.
She looked at her wardrobe, she took out her uniform, she wore her short sleeve shirt, her long black long sleeve underneath the shirt her trouser and her boots, she covered her neck with her hair; she looked at her reflection in the mirror
"Perfect" she muttered as she tucked in her gun and ran out of the house.
Police headquarters

Nadira walked into the ACP'S office no one was there, she looked around the office and noticed a mirror, she pulled the hair strands on her neck aside as she slowly traced the bruises, she covered her neck and pulled up her sleeve she exhaled deeply and quickly pulled down the sleeve as she heard footsteps.
She turned around to meet wide shoulders, she looked up into the ACP'S face and looked away.
"Sir" she saluted when she regained her x
composure.
"Can I see your hand?" he asked
"No sir"
" Why? "
" Because it's none of your business"
" Did your husband do that to you? " he paused "I learnt that you are married" he continued.
"Sir, it's none of your business"
"You are a police officer, you are not supposed to tolerate this" he said as he heard footsteps from behind, he raised his eyes it was Chandra and Aaryan.
"Sir, as I said earlier it's none of your business and instead of you interfering in matters that do not concern you, it will be better if you concentrate on why you are really here, to nab Akshay Betal's murderer" she said and walked out of his office.
"What was that for?" The ACP asked
"She is like that most of the times " Aaryan said
Nadira leaned her backside on her desk as she pondered over what just happened'why did I have to react that way? 'she asked herself, 'well is the ACP'S fault I told him to mind his business but he didn't so.. good for him'
Nadira turned her head as ACP Yash walked in.
"If you are really okay join us" he said as he turned to leave.
"I told you Sir, I'm fine"
"And I don't believe you" he said as he walked out of the office.
"How can someone one be so arrogant" she muttered underneath as she walked out of her office, she hit her right leg on the stair as she gasped and lost her balance, she closed her eyes as she fell backwards, she felt something around her waist she opened her eyes to stare into a pair of beautiful dark blue eyes Nadira blinked as the ACP helped her stand properly Nadira walked away as quickly as her legs could.
'Gosh I didn't even say thank you' she scrutinized herself as she walked into the vehicle.
Akash Mehra's Villa
Mumbai, Maharashtra.
"The two of you search upstairs" the ACP said referring to Nadira and Chandra.
"Aaryan and I will search this floor"he continued as they obeyed.
"Wait" he said as they paused right in their tracks "if you see something you feel like you will want to remember later take pictures" he finished as Nadira and Chandra walked up the stairs.
"What exactly are we looking for" Nadira asked
"I don't know.." he paused
"Did the ACP do something to you that made you hate him or is it just hatred at first sight? he continued
" No, not all;is not that I hate him is just.. eem.. I don't know I just don't like him but he did not do anything to me I just don't like him ". He nodded slowly in understanding.
Chandra opened the wardrobe, taking out the clothes carefully as Nadira checked the drawers.
" Any luck" Chandra heard behind him as he turned to look at the ACP.
" No, Sir"
" Did you find anything? " Nadira asked as Aaryan shook his head.
" Let's go " the ACP said as they walked down the stairs and moved towards the police van.
"I can drop you guys off" the ACP suggested as Aaryan and Chandra got in and the ACP took over the wheels, the ACP looked behind him as he couldn't find Nadira there.
"Inspector are you coming?" Aaryan asked
"No, I'm good I'll walk home or probably take a taxi" she said.
"Do you really want to go alone, you know it's late" the ACP paused and looked at his wristwatch
"It's 20 to 11,it's not nice for a woman to move alone by this time.."
"Sir I've worn this uniform for about 6 years now and I can take good care of myself"
"I didn't mean it that way.."
"It's not about about what you meant to say it's about what you said" she interrupted him as he breathed out and looked at her, he looked away as he couldn't believe his ears, he looked at her again
'I was just trying to be a good person ' he said inwardly.
"Nadira come on, it's really late" Aaryan said as she looked at him for few seconds and got into the jeep.
"Wow you really lose your cool when it comes to the ACP, something you want to tell me?" Aaryan whispered as she shook her head.
"Sir we are here" Aaryan said as the vehicle stopped moving and he got down with Chandra.
"Thanks, Sir" they said as the ACP nodded as he drove off he handled the wheel with expertise and he got to Nadira's house, the jeep stopped as she got down and looked at the ACP as the ACP returned the look.
"See you tomorrow, Sir" she said and turned around as she walked into her house.
Yash looked at her retreating figure as he turned on the car's ignition,
"I did not know that it has become so hard to say thank you" he said as he reversed the vehicle and drove off.
"Who was that ?" Pratik asked immediately Nadira stepped into the house.
"It was the ACP" she replied
"I know that but why did he drop you off?"
"Pratik is not what you are thinking? he dropped everyone else off"she said as he nodded and she walked past him headed to her room.
" Nadira" he called loudly
"Don't play with me" he said as she rolled her eyes and went into her room.

Yash walked into his office as he met his entire team. "Aaryan, has the autopsy report been sent?"
"No, Sir"
" Forensics hasn't sent the report? " he asked as Aaryan shook his head.
" Aaryan get the autopsy report as soon as possible and get me Akash Mehra's call logs, Chandra I want information on his movements, places he went from six months before his death" he paused and looked at Nadira" I want information on everybody he met for his last six months " he said as he turned and a voice stopped him.
" Sir, well you have given us all the work, what will you do? ". It was Nadira's voice.
