“Where do you think you’re going?” Even Midna put a hand forward to keep the mage down. “Out of here,” Raori said. “I’m no wounded babe.” Aramina caught Midna’s eye, jutted her chin to the door in silent signal. The acolyte’s face went carefully blank as he stepped for the door. “Let me get some fresh clothes and a meal,” he said. “Then we’ll let you out.” Raori relaxed with a wandering hand through his hair. “I’ll compromise for that.” He turned to Aramina. “I’ll stay,” Aramina said with a wrinkled grin. She leaned forward to kiss the mage just as Midna closed the door behind him. After that Raori forgot food, and clothing would only have gotten in the way.
