eannahn adjusted her mantle and stepped deeper into what scant shadow the corner could afford. The human woman called her daughter's name, searching, wanting to go home. The halfling babe wriggled in her arms, fussing. Leannahn stay very still.
Somewhere below them Eahn lay in a filthy cell, wounded and needing help. If the cursed human would give up and go home, Leannahn could make her way to him. The only other souls to be seen were guardsman, making their rounds with extra care. Leannahn wanted to scream from frustration.
