CHAPTER TEN “You are certain?” Mel asked. He took the spyglass from Aramis and looked through it himself. Aramis nodded stiffly. “I’d recognize his face anywhere. I’m going to kill him.” He stepped forward as if he would fulfill that pledge then and there. Mel gripped his arm. “This isn’t the place or the time,” he said softly. “I know your pain, my Lord. I do. But you’d go up against orcs and a priest of Mordum with nothing but a dagger?” Aramis stared up the mountain for a moment longer and then turned to his friend. “You are right. I cannot allow my hatred to cloud my judgment. But I will have my revenge.” Aramis pointed at the man and glared. He didn’t know if the man could see the action or not, but he swore he heard laughter echoing down behind him as they continued their trek. T
