She paused before walking out and he watched as she turned, staring into his silver eyes. "She'd be proud of you." Was all she murmured softly and then she was gone, leaving her words to sit with him. Mom would be proud of me? He had never thought of such a thing before yet those simple words were enough to stir him and he couldn't help it as the slight smile made its way to his face.
