Nate heard three sets of feet on the stairs and knew his time was up. The first face he saw was Brandon’s. He stuck his head in the door and gave Nate a tentative smile. “You ready for this, sweetheart?” “No, but I’ll do it anyway.” Brandon nodded and opened the door wider, allowing the Morris’s to enter.
