Chapter 13The first Saturday of Christmas break. Time to kick back. Forget any and all the bad things. I put Mimi’s death into a little box, deep in my heart. Made it hurt less. Life here was gonna be okay. I could put on an act at school—be who I wasn’t, even though I didn’t really know who I was. I ignored my phone when I woke up. I knew there’d be tons of Craig texts.
