Chapter 25“Buenos días, mi amor linda. Ready? Will, you cleared Robin’s schedule?”
“Sure did. Just waitin’ for your call.”
“Good. I’ll text Dot we’re ready. Mijita, you look lovely in that outfit I made for you. Today, we fill your closet.”
Estrella’s been planning this for days. I’m so excited.
I had on the prettiest of my two dresses. I slipped on my only pair of girl-like shoes, my ballet slippers. I shouldn’t wear them outside the studio, but this was special.
I took a minute to stand in front of the mirror and be happy.
Soon, Robin pulled up. I was at the front door before he and Dot could ring the doorbell.
“M-mm, look at this pretty gal. I’m gonna have to swat the boys away, Shelley m’ love.”
