Chapter 15Christmas morning. Workout skipped. No guilt. None. I had to see what was in those boxes. Estrella, Sarge, and Will gathered near the tree, coffee mugs in hand. “What took ya so long, recruit? We been here for hours, waitin’ on ya.” Will gave Sarge a look. “Don’t listen to him. He lies. Maybe fifteen minutes. But he stomped down the hall, hoping you’d wake up. The big lug loves his Christmas.” No blaring carols today.
