Chapter 28 It was ten-thirty the next morning before Frank managed to get to Horace’s hospital room. His arm felt stiff and swollen, but the pills Doc Clayton had given him kept the pain away. He asked the desk nurse in Recovery and got the right room number. He walked in just as Yakov opened the door from the inside. He and Horace were both laughing. They stopped when Frank came in. Yakov, normally stoic as an old Indian brave, actually looked flustered. He shot quick glances between Frank and Horace, then moved past Frank. “I will get the car,” he said over his shoulder. “Please to meet me downstairs.” Frank watched him walk toward the elevators, then turned to stare at Horace, eyebrows raised.
