Chapter Thirteen
Cassie rested her head against her hands, at a loss for what else she could do. It felt like they'd tried everything to get out of there. Zack had even shifted and tried to use the air vents, but he'd found a wire mesh stopping him. Something that only concerned her further. If he'd been using the vents all day, like he'd said, then the only reason it would suddenly be blocked was if someone knew what he'd been doing and had blocked it for this exact reason.
It was making the likelihood of an accidental lock-in less and less likely by the second.
"Are you sure the text went through?" she asked for what felt like the hundredth time.
