Chapter Four The natural light was almost gone as they approached the stark white tent that had been put up around the body, replaced by artificial lights within it. As much as Cassie knew it was uncouth, she couldn't help the slight excitement welling up within her. She'd never been to a crime scene before, but a small part of her had always been curious to see one. And now she was finally going to get the chance. "What are we looking at?" Hadrian asked a tall man standing outside. "Same as your last one," the man replied, at which point Cassie realised this must be the vampire contact he'd talked about. "How long have they been gone?" Issac asked, hurrying to Hadrian's side. "Not long enough that you can't do your magic." She watched as the necromancer's shoulders sagged in relief
