Dream

I am inside the car because I was told to go home. I am currently in the premise of Finley family. Everything is still unreal. I am denial. I keep slapping my face every time I had a chance to. Here am I watching the big and very modern house of Finley’s. I can’t deny that I like everything of the house. This is exactly the house that I pictured out that I will give to my family. Yet I suddenly become sad because this isn’t my life. I’m just trapped in the circumstance that fate give me. My driver s***h secretary open the back door for me and I was greeting by I don’t know maybe 20 maids. Just how rich is Finley family?

I also saw a lady in her 50s wearing a stunning and elegant dress about to hug me. She hug me and after she smiled.

“Congratulations, baby. You made it! Come I have something for you.” She hold my right hand and guided me inside. I can’t count how many times I said “wow” to the inside of the house. She signal me to sit and I nod. She give an elegant wrapped gift and told me to open it. Again, I was amazed. It is a diamond necklace with so much details. I even calculated it if I will sell it to the market lol.

“Now let’s go to the dining room because the family is waiting for us.” Zahra’s mom said.

On the way there, I saw some pictures on the wall and gosh I totally look like her. Why? Maybe we’re twins and got separated when we were kids. I just quietly laugh at the thought of it. Geez, this isn’t some drama movie. Finally, we arrive in the dining room and there I saw foods that I have never seen before. I wish I had time to appreciate it more but I saw Ms. Sullivan with her family and I guess they are my relatives. Then why is she mean to me?

“I am so proud of you my dear. You were so amazing.” I saw her last time in my project presentation but didn’t thought she’s a family. Thank god, she’s kind unlike her daughter.

I also got a compliment from her husband. The dinner was great. I learn a lot about their work. I also learn that Zahra was never good in handling the company and they complimented me saying that I improve a lot. The dinner ended and I did not expect that the talk will take too much time. I am tired. I want to sleep but I don’t know her room!

“Where are you going, Miss?” a maid asked. Should I tell her where my room is?

“Um, I had a few drinks and I’m quite drunk that I forgot where’s my room is.” Well, I did drink some wine but not drunk.

“Is that so? Let me guide you then.” Thank god, she's buying it!

I followed her and I was surprise that we have to take an elevator to get to her room! I am still in the process of admiring it when the elevator opens.

“We have arrive, Miss.” She said.

“The left one is your room, Miss.” She added.

“Thank you.” I smiled. For a moment, she froze.

“Why?”

“Nothing, miss.” She look away and bow and starts to walk away.

Weird. Anyway, I open the door and it’s all pink! Geez, did Hello Kitty vomited here?

“Geez, I prefer it black. But anyway, who am I to demand? This isn’t my room to begin with.” I said to myself.

I took a shower. After that, I open her cabinets and gosh I really don’t like her style. It’s too fancy and colorful. I had no choice but to wear it. After I blow dry my hair, I jump to her bed and after a minute I fell asleep.

“Insan, let’s go. Why are you sleeping here?” Huh? Am I back in my real life?

I open my eyes and there I saw Jairo.

“I guess you are really tired. I’m really sorry.” I smiled. No matter how needy this cousin of mine, he is still sweet.

I stand up and we started walking. Finally, we arrive at the parking lot. We go inside his car. Yeah, he managed to buy a Honda. You see no matter how stable our jobs are, we are still living from paycheck to paycheck. It is wise of him to buy a car first after 3 years of working in the company. It’s not like I also didn’t consider buying one. I just have to pay all my family’s debt first before considering buying one.

“You see, you should start thinking for yourself you know.” Jairo said. We are currently now on the road and he is telling me to enjoy myself sometimes.

“Says the person who set me up on a blind date that went wrong.” I give him an angry look. He bursts into laughter. Last blind date that I had turned out to be a disaster. It is really funny because I learned that the guy that I am dating is a gay.

“Stop laughing, you idiot.” I pulled his left ear.

“Ouch, stop it! It really hurts!” I pull away my hand because I still have a little bit kindness inside. He touch his ear then he scream.

“What?” I ask in confusion.

“My piercing is gone! I think it dropped.” And he start looking below.

“Hey, keep your eyes on the road.” I said.

“Just a minute.” He replied. I decided to also look below then suddenly I heard a crash.

I feel dizzy. I slowly open my eyes and I saw Jairo bleeding. What happened? Argh my head hurts and before I could utter a word, all of my senses shutdown.

“Miss, wake up!” I woke up. I was running out of breath. I feel like I came out of hell.

“Give her water, come on!” I scan the room and saw 5 maids inside the room. They are all worried.

What is this? Why am I back being Zahra Finley? I think I’m going to lose my mind!

“What happened?!” There I saw Zahra’s mom immediately went by my side and hug me. She check my body if there’s something wrong.

“Miss Zahra had a bad dream, Ma’am.” The other maid explain. Zahra’s mom look at me.

“Are you okay now? Do you want to go the hospital?” I guess she’s right. I think I need to go to the hospital. I shook my head. I refuse to believe that I’m crazy.

“No, I’m fine mom. I think I just need a shower.” I don’t know what’s real anymore.
