9 Mina’s strength didn’t fully return until evening fell. The chaos that had engulfed the castle had finally died down, though the servants talked about the steady stream of physicians still coming and going from Lord Klodian’s chambers. Mina had spent the remainder of the day in her bed, but she hadn’t been able to sleep. She didn’t have the energy to finish her chores, and she doubted anyone would notice they weren’t done.
